SDNU Advantages

Professional field

The university has two campuses, covering an area of 600 acres. Currently there are more than 34,600 full-time Chinese students and more than 200 international students.

Qilu Culture Research Centre and Elementary Teaching Courses Research Centre at SDNU are the only two key research centers of the humanities established at provincial universities by the Ministry of Education of China (MOE). SDNU publishes six worldwide academic periodicals. Among them is China Population Resources & Environment, which is the only academic journal focusing on sustainable development in China.

Overseas Cooperation

The University makes strenuous efforts to open up to the outside world. SDNU has established co-operative relationships with 59 universities from more than 15 countries and regions. Since 2011, it regularly employs foreign instructors for special two-week courses in English on issues relating to the web and media through the School of Communications. SDNU is one of the first universities approved by the Ministry of Education of China (1983) to recruit international students and to receive international China scholarship students. And SDNU is among the HSK exam centers approved by MOE. Since then, over 5,000 international students have graduated from the university.

The university enjoys very convenient transportation with 15 minutes’ drive to city centre.
